myself

I like myself but I do not love myself
a womens worth is not what comes from a man
nor from what she can do but from what she decides to do
with what she can do, from how she decides to use her abilities

See, I like myself but I dont love myself
I can not decide my worth, for I am not sure of worth
see, I am not sure what I can do or what I should do
once I find what I can do

See, I like myself but i do not love myself
I can not dream of someone who loves me,
yet I have had plenty I can not see how someone
sees me, but I am sure that they see

Im a complexed girl, I have tons of talent I can
always dream of a better me, I am pretty, I am
Beautiful, I am all that I can be

See, I have a voice that I Decide to use! let the words
I Write then become my muse I can speak my mind
I decide to tell the world, I have found my worth, I am found

See, I like myself & now I Can see myself, so now I can be myself
so now I love myself, I can believe in MYSELF

To be heard

The movie To Be Heard is a good movie. It's about three high School students who's lives collided through a writing program. The writing program, Power Writers, a group of writers and activists who visited NYC schools and got kids to write about their lives and struggles. Its about their power to over come diversity & change their lives for their well being . The three teens followed in the film became close through the process. Something that connected them were the tough living situations they have been through. Anthony, one of the characters, was incarcerated and kicked out of school. The other two characters were females . One of the young ladies got kicked out of her house and had to live with her boyfriend . She later had a baby and went back to work with Power Writers . The other young lady tried to get into the college of her dreams . At first she got denied and she decided to finish her work in a junior college . She eventually did get into the college of her dreams . Its a great Movie For teens & adults who just don't understand . .
